When i turn my laptop on it will bring up the windows loading screen and then go to a black screen which i can see the curser and move it. After that it will go to the blue windows screen but not the log in part. It will either bring up the windows xp logo and freeze not doing anything, or it will say welcome and bring me to windows. More often then not it brings up the logo and freezes forcing me to shutdown and try again. This can take up to a half hour before i can get into windows. I have norton internet security 2008 and spy sweeper and both have come up with nothing. I really want to get this fixed because it is really frustrating waiting for windows to finally load. Thank you for any help.

If you get in there, have you tried to do a "system restore" to an earlier date?
