I am wondering if anyone knows how to secure XP - kids have discovered how to start in SafeMode to backdoor my PW? How can I set XP up so that it cannot be backdoored? Thought of setting it to start up in DOS but, been so long I don't remember how to set it up.

The easiest way is to set a password on the system in the bios. This way the machine won't boot without the password.

If they're circumventing your password it will teach them a lesson by not being able to use the system unless you clear it for booting.
