Hello Everyone!

I don't if anyone can help me, but I am becoming desperate. I have looked everywhere and could still not find the answer to my question.
My labtop is a toshiba and it has windows XP on it. When I went to change my desktop background (under desktop in display properties), I am only allowed to click on customize desktop and change the color. I can not click on any of the backgrounds in the background column and I am not allowed to click on browse or position. My background has been blue these last few months and I was wondering if anyone can help me change it.
