I have just downloaded Internet Explorer 7.
I can get into "Trademe" web-site but cannot go into the sell-something area on that site? I had no trouble accessing this on IE 6?

Yes IE7 still has bugs in it, over time Microsoft will have the patches for in the future. Try going into your internet options and make sure your java is enabled and that all default settings are set. Make sure you can also accept cookies and that your internet level is at least medium and not set to high. You could have set your internet setting too high when you first installed the program.

You have 2 options here, either go to 'Add/Remove Programs' and uninstall IE7 and revert back to IE6 or install Mozilla Firefox. The latter would be my recommendation but is up to you.

Microsoft still have to support security patches for IE6 for sometime yet so upgrading is not essential. My philosophy is 'If its not broke don't try to fix it'.

Thankyou both. I have checked every-thing suggested! Also I have uninstalled IE7 But I still have the same thing happening? Even though I am back to IE6? So I am not sure now where to go from here? Regards, Maureen.(Grandmother)

Hi, have you downloaded and installed Mozilla Firefox? If not, give it a try and see if the same problem persists. I recommend using Firefox as it does not seem to crash as often as IE and is more secure, it is also FREE.

Hi, I previously have tried Firefox but encountered the same problem! I went back to IE6 Then as I now have. I was in touch with a chap called "jephree" on this web site who told me to do something in the tools menue, but I have forgotten what it was! What-ever it was put my computer into the right mode to access the web site fully. I sure wish that I had not tried IE7 now! Regards, MAUR.
