I downloaded a torrent video file, and have no idea how to open it or play the video. Any ideas, help, or suggestions greatly appreciated. I clicked to open, and was directed to web search windows forums, and there were no torrent topics available. Thank you in advance for any help at all. :dunce:

That torrent video file is likely a video file "segment" of a video/movie someone uploaded. BitTorrent is a method for P2P file sharing. It is often a method used by music and video thieves to steal copyrighted materials and is one of the popular methods used by badguys to distribute viruses, Trojans, worms, rootkits, spyware, and other destructive and malicious code. Fortunately, the segments are usually benign. However, if you have the entire file, you may have been suckered in and infected your machine by a attempting to open the file.
Since stealing copyrighted materials is a crime and not condoned here, I will assume you are an honest person and accidentally downloaded this file, or you were attempting to legitimately purchase a movie. If however, you were attempting to download a copyrighted movie for free, understand that is illegal and this site will not help you break the law.
