Post Windows cannot load the locally stored files

    Hi
I disconnect my computer to connect other in the Comcast connection.
When I disconnected it other and re-connected my computer back
I got the windows screen asking for my password as ussual. When I wrote my password and it was downloading my settings a box appeared on my screen saying this; " windows cannot load the locally stored files. This can be due to insuficient security rights or corrupt local profile.
Then another box popped saying "Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you with a temporary profile..."

What went wrong? Please, help me, I lost most of my desktop icons.
    Thanks, haydee

Try starting in Safe Mode options.

Restart the computer and tap tap tap the F8 key between the computer logo or BIOS page and before Windows tries to start.
