Question Weirdest computer problem I've ever seen

I use an HP laptop that runs on Windows XP with a built in mouse (I'm typing this now on a friends laptop because mine just got so warped).

I was browsing online and than all of a sudden left click didn't work. I tried alt-arrow-entering my way to restart but the enter button is being really selective so I just had to unplug it. Rebooting didnt work. I tried it in Safe Mode, Last Good Configuration, and finally managed to alt my way to a system restore but nothing works. Its absolutely unusable I cant make my way to start most programs or get to any files without the mouse.

A day before this happened I installed Spybot Search and Destroy and Sygate Personal Firewall. They pop up whenever my computer starts and I can't close them out, and them being there stops me from getting to other programs. This is freaking impossible. Whenever I can get to the task manger it's stuck on Processes, I can't get to Applications because of the mouse.

I wanted to try uninstalling Spybot and Sygate and I managed to open CC Cleaner but the Sygate pop up is in the way I can't click on or alt my way through navigating CC Cleaner.

I've never ever seen anything like this before. The worst part is I have 4 web clients at the moment, 2 of them who need there sites done the day after tomorrow so taking it to get repaired will probably take too much time. If anyone has the slightest idea of how this happened or whats going on please please help!

    Thanks!

Have you tried an external mouse?

I'm buying one tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure it's internal promblem not just a sticky mouse or anything.

Whenever the computer starts the left click button is already 'down'. It's like its being pressed and every time I move it highlights everything on the desktop, I have to right click out of it.

I got to the control panel and switched the primary and secondary buttons of the mouse. Now the right click button works like the left one does so it's usable but still pretty tricky. But now I cant right click (it's only a little aggravating ](*,)). But still every time I start the computer the left click button is 'down'. I'm confused.

    No harm in trying this:

Go to Start/Run and type in:

    regsvr32 /i shell32

    Click OK.

    Restart your computer.
