    help

i keep getting the error message. we apologise for the inconvience but windows did not start successfully a recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
if you computer stopped responding restarted unexpectly or was automaticlly shut down to protect your files or folders chose last known good configuration to the most recent settings that worked. if a previous start up attempt was interrupted due to power failure or because the or reset button was reset or if you are unsure what caused the problem chose start windows normally
    safe mode
    safe mode with networking
    safe mode with command prompt
last known good configuration (your most recent setting that worked)
    start windows normally

when starting up this is all that happens can any one help
    thanks

Have you tried doing the above?

choose last known good configuration to the most recent settings that worked

If you do not get this option automatically then start Safe Mode options:

Most manufacturers have very good trouble-shooting ideas.

You basically need to know your specific model to get details:

    http://global.acer.com/support/index.htm

    "recovery disks do not load"

    What exactly happens?

What is the exact Acer model?

Is your BIOS set to boot the CD prior to the HDD?
