Computer: Dell Inspiron 5100 (laptop) Win xp Home Sp2

after working all day on my laptop and powering it down overnight
I have problem getting back up in the morning.

The Machines Powers Up but nothing displays on the monitor not a light flicker nothing I know its on the desktop because of the sounds and my hard drive light flickers, so I know it has activities and the hard drive was initialized

yet it does not power on until about a 15 - 20 minutes later when it gets warm, I just keep powering it on and off then the screen comes on after the computer warm up..has anyone seen this b4

Is it the same with both battery and AC adapter?

Is this a new problem? Did it work OK previously?
