Im curently having problems with my Intel Celeron Laptop, it starts up as normal but i dont get a start button or any icons on the screen so am unable to load any programs up. I have tried restarting the laptop but to no avail, anything i can do to reolve this problem without having to formating?

Can you start in Safe Mode?

Press F8 between the BIOS POST and XP trying to start.

If so try a System Restore to a point when all was well.

Problem sorted, after constantly turning the laptop on and off i eventually got it to load up and run a virus scan, turned out there was a virus in the system memory or something, now its removed laptop is working fine.
