Hi Guys i am new to the site

After using an external usb floppy, i remove the usb through the safe to remove procedure , but the icon stay's on the My Comuter screen and then when i try to shut down the computer it goes through the saving files ok but when it gets to the Windows is shutting down screen it stays on this screen and will not automatically shut down and i have to shut it down with the on / off button, this does not happn with any other usb device i use. I have tried this external usb floppy on another xp computer and the floppy icon disappears when using the safe to remove procedure and the computer shuts down automatically, so i am sure that the problem lies with the floppy icon not disappearing after using the safely remove procedure,i am using XP home,can anyone help.
