Memory Low
Help please, a box popped up, and said that Memory is low, how can I find out how low, and what can I do about it?
Thanks,

The verbatim error message would help us help.
If it referred to Page File or Virtual Memory this might help:

Hello Jephree,
Thanks for your reply back, the box did not stay up very long, all it said was Virtual Memory is Low, and then disappear, am not sure how to find out if is low or not, and if is, how do I fix it?

Read the link I posted and check your settings as instructed.
If not set to "System Manage Size" this is always a general good setting.
This also might be a problem if there is not enough free space on your hard drive.

jephree,
I did read the link, that you sent me, followed what it said to do, but that left me more confused. System Manage Size, did not appear.
Thanks, for your replies back to me.

What are your current settings for Page File?
Also how much free space is on your C: drive (partition)?
-
jephree,
Current settings for Page File, says: 700-768MB.
Free Space, for C: Says, 28.4GB, Total Space: 37.2 GB
Hopes the above makes since for you, it does not for me.
The Virtual Memory Low Box, has not popped up, within the last 2 days, like it did before. Could of it, somehow fix itself?
Thanks.

How much RAM do you have?
If you Right click My Computer then click Properties > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory > Change
Are you saying that you do not have the option for System managed size?
-
jephree,
RAM 256MB
You asked me for the Page File, which I sent to you. I have the Virtual Memory Box, and that is what it says under Paging File Size, in the Virtual Memory Box. Is that what you mean, by System Manage Size? How did you get that Box, to appear here, to be sent? If I knew how, then I could send a picture of what the Virtual Memory Box says for my computer.
Thanks.

256MB is a minimum for XP. If you can add another 256MB at least you would see a vast improvement.
By System managed size I mean the the Bullet you can choose beneath Custom size.
I use Faststone Capture (free) then upload to Photobucket (free) then when you reply to a post put the Photobucket address for that image within an image tag as so: [img] picture url [/img].
