I cannot find a P4S533VX at ASUS. I do see a few P4S533... such as P4S533MX. The ASUS site has a CPU compatibility guide:
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/c...odel=P4S533-MX
What happens? It works for me.
Anyway this is the max CPU for the MX:
P4-3.06 GHz (533 FSB, L2 cache:512KB, HT, C1/D1)
If the link still fails go here and follow the process:
http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us
Product = Motherboard
Series = Socket 478
Model = P4S533...
On the left menu is a CPU support guide.
However now I am getting errors from the ASUS site as to too much activity.
Perhaps try later.
The P4-3.06 GHz appears to be what you are limited to. You will need the latest BIOS in order to use it.
