Have two operating systems on my laptop (which I have been told is illegal ) how do I get rid of one.Only one shows on each operating system disc drive do not want to reinstall Window xp.Thanks to anyone who can help.

There is nothing illegal about have multiple Operating Systems.

Are they both XP? Are they on the same partition?

What is the make and model of the laptop?

Both are XP laptop is Dell 500m.When I turn on I am offered one or the other,one is only part installed with no programs in add or remove.Thanks

Did you reinstall XP for some reason?

Different partitions
Reinstalled because of hard disc drive failed.

You can use most any Partition Tool to delete the unwanted partition or keep the partition and just format it to erase XP.

If you have no Partition software of choice GParted is free and easy to use.
