well, i have recently bought Sims 2 Pets and would like to install it.. but once I put my CD into the drive or whatever, normally the computer jumpstatrts to the installation process but nothing happens! The cursor might flicker with a picture of a CD at the side, but that usually then stops. I've tried opening the My Computer so I can then click on the E: drive, but it says that I should put a CD in the drive, when it's already in there!

Is there some way I can fix this? maybe I should try that AutoRun thingy.. that might be a bit messed up aswell..
any advice?

It sounds like the game comes on a DVD Rom and not a CD Rom. Do you have a DVD drive or a CD Rom drive installed in your PC? You can check this by looking at the front of the tray that comes out when you eject which should say DVD if it is a DVD drive. If yours does not then check on the game case and see if it is a DVD Rom or CD Rom. If it is a DVD Rom and you only have a CD drive it will not work.
