    windows installer

Hi, I'm hoping you can help me resolve an ongoing and very annoying problem!

Re: windows Installer triggers when opening many programs and selecting various options.

Windows installer pops ups whenever we "click" to launch many programs or "click" on an option. For example, when we click on "search" from start,
the windows installer pops up repeatedly with the following :

Windows Installer....preparing to Install ("cancel" button at lower left)
    then...
The feature you are trying to use is on a network source that is unavailable.

Click OK or try again or enter an alternative path to a file containing the installation package "MasterColors.msi " in the box below.

    Use feature from:
    C:\docum~1\owner\locals~1\temp\_isllF\

The box below "use feature from" always displays the same path or filename.

As soon as we click on cancel, in either window ,it pops up again, repeatedly.

"MasterColors" , I believe, is a program I downloaded, installed, then uninstalled and I think the pop up started immediately following the uninstall. ( we've had this nuisance for a long, long time)

I can't find referred to file/path on my computer.
I contacted the support at the programs' website several times, but never recieved a reply.

Since it pops up when clicking on many and various programs or option buttons, I can't figure out how the windows installer is being triggered.

I would greatly appreciate any information or suggestions you might offer on correcting this problem.

thank you for taking the time to help me, erinj

Jephree, that was so easy! I can't believe how long we put up with that annoyance when it was so easy to fix! Well it was only easy because you
pointed me to the proper removal. I had actually found the program just a little while before I posted, but I chickened out once I read the warnings. Your recommendation gave me the confidence to use the program.

You can bet I'll be back as well as recommending your site to all my friends.

Thank you again for taking the time to answer my question. erinj

oh joy...i just ran search.....no more installer!! yeah!:yippee:
