XP administrator won't let me install a program
I downloaded a setup file for a program and when I try to install it, a box comes up saying...
The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation.
This is my desktop at home, I don't remember setting any kind of policies... Plus this is a program I used to have on my computer.
How do I allow my computer to install the program?

The fact that you used to have it might be the issue as some software sets restrictions in the registry to change it. This includes reinstalling it.
What program is it?

i reformatted, installed xp pro,
set up administrator, and me as a user as an administrator,
installed win-pim contact management software, i am getting run-time error 10, array is fixed or temporarily locked. runs in administrator, but not in "user administrator"
I tried installing sage line 50, software installed but updates will not, eventually installed updates in safe mode.
Any suggestions

Hi,
I think you need to remove the 'User' from the 'Member of' tab in the properties of your logon id. Just make sure that you are a member of the 'Administrators' group and nothing else. Some programs will look at your 'rights' in your user id and will use only the most restrictive group membership in this case it's the Users group. Once this is removed then there should be no such restrictions.
Let us know how you get on.
