I am having an issue on my laptop that is really bothering me. When I try to use a browser it just sits at the wait for ... for long periods of time. However, when I update things like adaware or ccleaner they will update with no problem. So that means that I am connected to the internet successfully, but my browsers will not work (neither firefox nor ie will work.) When I boot in safe mode with networking the browsers will work as well.

Needless to say--I'm stumped.

If everything works in Safe Mode then it is some service or driver that is causing problems.

Perhaps your anti-virus or firewall or LAN driver?

Is this a new problem? Did this computer ever work like it should?

Any new hardware or software?
