How do I repair my Windows Movie Maker without the cost
Hello,
I have been having some troubles with my windows movie maker 2.0, as soon as I open the programme an error report opens, I have tried everything in my knoledge to repair this, I have even stooped so low to send the error report. I have contacted Microsoft of this problem and I have had no reply. The only way of repairing this is to pay for the CD which would be despatched to me, and personally I feel that I do not have to pay for something which should come free with Windows XP. Now I have to use a 31 day free trail of another programme, which frankly, is not as good, I need some help. Does anybody have any advise? :idunno:

The only way I know is to reinstall SP2 as the Movie Maker is contained within.
Is this the CD you refer to (SP2)?
If so did your computer come with SP2 or did you add it? If you added it you can remove it via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Then go to Windows Update and reinstall it.
If it was pre-installed on the computer you would need to reload XP in it's entirety.
