Hi,

I've never come across this before but when doing a fresh install I'm getting error messages;

could not install the installer files for the cddrive
could not install the installer files for the disk
could not install the installer files for the battery.

This is followed by the blue screen of death.

Any ideas?

I would suggest getting the SATA RAID and ATAPI drivers from your motherboard onto a floppy then press F6 when the install prompts you for additional drivers then install these drivers.

That might explain the CD drive and Disk errors. The battery is strange.

Is this a laptop? Have you tried running off the AC adapter during install?

I will try what you've said. Its not a laptop just a custom pc.
