Please help I try to load XP in

IBM Netvista Desktop
Model: 6579-TAU
Pentium III 1GHz
256 MB Ram

after loading XP when it reboot it will show window XP logo screen stuck ,No response Keyboard OR Mouse.
What's wrong ?
i need to change any BIOS ?

I Don't have recovery CD,I bought this system in ebay NO "OS"

Are you saying that you do not have the XP CD?

If so how did you load XP?

Or are you saying that XP was on the computer and just won't start?

That system is barely capable of running XP but it should run (just not too swift).

Will it start in Safe Mode options? Press F8 after the IBM screen but before XP tries to start. From the option screen try: Last Known Good Configuration.

If this doesn't work you could try running the 6 floppy boot disks from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310994

This will get you to the Recovery Console: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058

Here try the FIXBOOT command.
