Up to SP2 I have been religous in downloading all updates automatically and installing them. Whilst trawling through Add/remove programs, as you do, I noticed some hotfixs had a Green box besides them and some an icon like a computer.
Does the green box mean they were not installed? If so how do I install them? Where are they held?

When you go to Windows Update choose the View Installation History option on the left panel there.

Just by the way; after SP2 I have installed 4 updates that are not listed at all in add/ remove.

Thanks Jephree, Obviousl the icons at the start of each item has bears no relation to whether its installed or not. I still have the quandry regarding install or not of SP2.
