Gaging For Help!! (pc Ruined By Vista)
Please help me. I am gagging for help.
I own a really decent Windows XP Sony Vaio laptop. It has a smart widescreen monitor and it's about 17 months old.
Today, I purchased Windows Vista and installed it on my PC. I chose a complete install, deleting what was on the PC.
Bad mistake. First of all, the PC has removed all the vaio software. I wouldn't usually be bothered but my computer now
a) wont recognise that the monitor is widescreen and simply displays everything in the centre of the screen only
b) wont play music...It won't recognise the soundcard or whatever it is you call it.
To make matters worse, no matter what I do, it won't let me use my wireless USB modem thingy to log onto the net. So, tonight, I went out and purchased a new modem and USB card by a firm called BUFFALO. But it isn't seeming to want to know about that either. In fact, when I plug in the cards, the PCs now won't do a @@@@ fu----g thing. What O What do I do?
My PC is fu--ed.

You need to find Vista drivers for your devices. (If they exist).
ID your various devices and check the manufacturer's Support/Download site for Vista drivers.
If the manufacturer has not yet created Vista drivers then there is not much you can do until they do.
