When I open a new browser, a few seconds later it will close by itself. I cannot use the internet on that computer because of this. It will open and load my homepage and I can get it to go to another page if I type it in fast but it just closes. I've run ad-aware. Ideas?

Check your Event Viewer via Administrative Tools.

Open the System as well as Application tabs and look for red X errors that coincide with your problem. Details here:

I did what you said and under Application there are a bunch of errors. They have to do with IE, here is what it says:

Faluting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, faulting module wininet.dll, version 6.0.2800.1106, fault address 0x0000d83f

So what can I do?

Is this a new problem?

Is there any reason why you don't upgrade to IE7?

It is listed under Windows Update as a Critical update.
