What is the error message verbatim?

Are both drives on the same IDE channel?

You said: " i get this weird error when i reboot my pc"

    What is that exact error?

Also: Do the drives show in XP's Device Manager?

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager

    Look under DVD/CD-ROM drives

Also look under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers

So in the Device Manager you have no DVD/CD-ROM entries? Is this correct?

Do you have anything listed under Display adapter?

The yellow question mark for Other Devices is indicating that your graphics device is missing its drivers.

If these drives are not detected in the BIOS are you familiar with working inside computers? Opening the case? etc. If so I would first off check the IDE connections at the motherboard as well as the drives.

Also what is the make and model of the computer?

Also if you can get the exact error message that you get from your BIOS it would help us help.
