My clock (bottom right hand corner, double click etc.) will not keep correct time.

When the power is shut off to the computer it reverts back to Jan. 1, 2004.

My battery is in good shape.
I have tried the option of synchronizing with Internet Time.

how old is the machine?

normally when the clock is loosing it's setting it's the battery.(It's not just the clock that's powered by the battery)

have you tried replacing the battery, it may seem in good shape but for a couple of pounds.
