No right click menu on files or folders?

    HELP !!!

My right click seems to be disabled. I can right click on the task bar, in my browser window, and on any open space. When I try to right click on a file or folder, my screen freezes for a moment then explorer shuts down forcing me to restart.

    Any suggestions????

    Thanks in Advance

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

    OR:

    Try running this program:

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

If you find any Red entries remove them.

If you find Pink entries try to verify that you use these programs.

If you do not you can delete these as well.

    OR:

See if this applies: Most right click issues are caused by these two
    updates:
    Right Click - HourGlass - Update 817287 and/or 821557

    Right Click Crash

If your right clicking abilities are more complexed, run this edit.

Enable or Disable the Right Click Context Menu (Line 56)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

If none of the above helps and beings you mentioned Hotbar....most users
can't right click New/Folder on the desktop or Windows Explorer without
    system freezing and/or crashing.

If this is the case for you, there are two extensions that have to be
    removed from this hive/key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
You will find a .dll and .jpg with an extremely long name. Those two need
to be removed to regain functionality, even though Hotbar has been removed,
    it leaves these behind.
