Is " %SystemRoot%\system32\cmd.exe " the target of your shortcut?

What "program" did you install? The Command Prompt is installed automatically when Windows is installed. Are we speaking of the same program? (Cmd.exe)

The DOS program is AUTOTRAX , a DOs printed circuit artwork program.

I have now lost the mouse in the program so cannot close it. I have found the panel you speak of by rt click on the taskbar name and opening properties,options...


It is now set to Window instead of full screen and Insert Mode is ticked.
