Hi Everyone, I am a new member so please excuse my ignorance.

My computer has power to the USB ports and mouse (The LED is burning all the time) when the computer is shutdown. (Mains switch still on at wall) My son says that this is not right,if that is so,how do I put it right???

    Regards sildo

What LED exactly? The power LED on the case?

Are you sure the computer was set to shut down and not hibernate or standby?

Is this a new problem or has it always happened like this?

What is the make and model of the computer?

Hi jephre thanks for the reply.

The LED I refer to is the LED under the mouse.
All LEDS on the computer are out and of course the fan stops and the monitor.

The maker is "Brian Hall Computers" the telephone numbers on the computer are no longer available.
    The computer is a Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4CPU 3.00GHz 3.01GHz,512MB of RAM.

That's all I know about it,I do know that my mp3 player can charge from the USB lead even when the computer is shut down.

    Regards sildo.

I forgot to mention that I think the problem has always been there but I used a mouse without LED (ball type)before .

When I got the LED type mouse I noticed that it glowed all the time even with the computer shut down.
