hello / thank you for all the advice and info / i am most grateful / still not working / on the back of the computer i seem to have two sets of connections marked as follows / a panel with four sockets / a square one marked phone another square one marked line a pink round one marked mic and a green one marked spk / i took the side panel off and these sockets are on a small board which plugs into a large one / / there is also an other set of sockets as follows / a pink round one with a strange design beside it a blue round one with a similar design and a green round one with a design beside it that looks like a hand held microphone this is the only one that does anything it drives the speakers / i have tried all and neither the mic or speakers work in any of the others this set if sockets are fixed onto the large board / hope this makes sense to you / i would also like to thank the person who answered me with some advice i think the name was duchie or duchy but i do not seem to be able to / thankyou all anyway / logan

The one marked Phone is maybe a modem.

have you any other round jack type sockets on the back of the PC?

Have you any sockets on the front or side of the case?

    what make PC is it?
