I need some help connecting my laptop to the internet. I just got one yesterday.

How do you want to connect?

Who is your ISP? Do you have a modem? Do you want an Ethernet connection? A wireless connection?

As far as configuring XP go to start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > New Connection Wizard

I want to connect wireless. I don't have a ISP yet.

I want to connect internet explorer.

You need to choose an ISP. They will most likely provide you with a modem.

They will generally walk you through your setup. Most send out installation guides.

Also mention that you are wanting a wireless connection. If they do not provide wireless modems you may have to purchase one.
