please help
i was browsing on the net and my e machine just went dead with bleeping sounds and all the lights on the unit flashing , dvd light and harddrive light.
i have tried to start it up again and all i am getting is a contant bleep noise.
can anyone tell me whats gone wrong. would it be the cpu? or motherboard.

Try unplugging the unit from the mains.

Hold the power button in for a full minute.

Then replug in and see what happens.

If the beep returns is it just one long beep? Does it ever stop?

Are you familiar and or comfortable in opening the computer?

Also how old is the computer?
