This has been going on for a few weeks now.
The first problem I noticed was when I try to go on line, Internet explorer will load but only for a second then disappear.
At the same time, when I click on "my computer",or recy. bin all the icons on my desktop will disappear for a couple of seconds then return,which doesn't allow me to go to either one.
Also when I go to safe mode all I get is a black screen no Icons.
I have done all kinds of virus checks as well as system restore but this lasts only for a couple of days
Can anyone help?

Are you saying that System Restore will fix these issues but only temporarily?
