I have always been able to burn cd's in media player but recently i cannot. I am now running media player 11 and media player is not recognising a cd in my drive. when i go to my computer it recognises a cd-r. And a message keeps coming up saying that i need to put a blank cd in the drive.

Did WMP 11 ever burn for you? If not I would suggest going back to WMP 10.

Removing Beta software (WMP 11) would be the first step.

Other than that are you certain your CD's are compatible with your drive?

Also on occasion it is necessary to format the CD prior to burning.

WMP 11 has never burnt cd's,WMP 10 has but then stopped .All cd's have been the same throughout.I have also formatted the cd's also but makes no difference.
