Outlook Express was working fine, then all of the sudden, all the messages, in every folder were gone.

I can create a message but when I hit send, it just goes away. The recipient never receives it. It actually won't send.

I can receive messages, but when I close down or even switch to a different folder and then back, the messages are gone.

I can't think of any event happening at the same time this started.

Any suggestions?

Outlook Express is well known for its many glitches, and the difficulty is in finding out what to fix, so I am posting you a URL to follow through, and if that fails, there are instructions for reinstallation.
