i have a dell lattitude laptop and it was runnin win xp home and right now it gets to the screen where it has the windows xp logo and it just stays there and all i have is a floppy drive at this time and im trying to just start all over with windows 95 cuz thats what i have in fdisks and it says i need to create a ms dos boot partition cuz of ntsf or hpsf??? i need to know how to create this partition so i can get my laptop up and running until i can get a cd drive to upgrade it back to where it needs to be. HELP

Maverick, I'm a little out of my league here as I hae forgotten all about Win95:nope: ....but try this link for good floppy's.

Hopefully someone will come along that can give you all the data you need for this problem. Is it possible that you need an XP floppy to boot you into XP....have you tried "safe mode" before the Laptop hangs?
