Desktop Troubles
Okay, around July 4th, I got an extreme mass of viruses. In the background of my computer instead of showing my wallpaper, it showed a black screen saying "YOUR COMPUTER IS IN DANGER!". Now, I got virus help from Geeks to Go, and the viruses are all gone, but now the background just stays blue. I tried refreshing, but nothing happens. I tried right clicking a picture and put "Use as desktop background" but the screen will kinda blick and nothing happens. Whenever I turn on the comp, the wallpaper I use shows up for a few seconds, and then it goes to blue. Can someone please help me solve this problem?
Thanks!

Try right clicking your desktop>properties to bring up display properties>desktop then browse for a background.Hope this helps.

I've tried that, but for some reason, the browse button isn't clickable.

I found the answer on a random website when I googled my problem. I went to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRE NT VERSION\POLICIES\SYSTEM in the regedit.exe program and deleted the wallpaper entry. ^_^-b

OK I've got a similar problem and I'm not able to change my desktop. How did you get to this file or command in the regedit.exe program. Sorry you may need to be a little more detailed. Thanks

Don't know if this is a hardware or software problem.
When I turn on my computer, it shows the users, when I click on one, it goes to the windows screen but the screen is blank. Just shows my background picture. No start menu's, icon..etc..
I restarted it a couple of times with the same results.
Anyone know what to do?
