Hello i cannot get my computer to start up or that is go past the start up mode!! It is not auto dectecting the Pri Slave or rather both are not being dectected and the i get on my dvd drive that is found and not the cd rom drive and then it shuts back off again. i tried to boot from cd but it does not detect the cd and shuts down again. can anyone HELP ME??

When the computer first boots up, before it beeps (called POST, Power On Self-Test), repeatedly press F1 or F2 or the delete key. It may take you a few tries to find out which key it is. Once you are in the BIOS, go to the Boot section (yours may be different, the BIOS can be very weird for different computers) and ensure it sees all of your drives. If not, exit out of the BIOS with escape key and say no to save changes and exit. Turn the computer off and from there you'll want to take the cover off of the computer and ensure everything is in place. Be sure to ground yourself first to the case by touching the case (not the inside where the components are!) and unplug everything if you haven't already. Once you are sure everything is in place, plug everything up (leave the case off for now) and see if it powers off on you again.
