    Talking Strange one here......please read

Today I decided to buy a new computer after three trouble free years with the one I have. Time to pass this one down to my son and get a new one for mom!
I decided to burn onto CD the rest of my pictures stored on my computer. I have done this before so I am not unfamiliar with it. I burn CD's often also.
So I go to do it and I notice my BURN TO CD option isn't there anymore under picture tasks? Where did it go? No clue? And I tried a hundred other ways for like three hours (darn head is killing me now!) to just hit copy this picture and then drop it into the CD drive file. Won't work. Its driving me crazy. I need to get my pictures burned before I bring home my new computer. My son wants mine cleaned out for his use of course. Any ideas where that option could have gone? Thanks so much for your help

    Hey losinsusan,

What program are you using ? (so I know where to start) ......I have been using Nero software package for burning CD and DVD for few years and no issue so far.

There are other option for transferring data from on computer to another (Network and very popular USB drive).

Anyways, let us know, I'm sure someone here will be able to sort this out for you.

    Cheers

Since we don't really ned to "fix" this problem, but only to get around it, try copying your files to C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning. This is the cache folder for XP's burner. Then, open My Computer and your CD drive. The files should be there, ready to be burned. Go to "File", "Burn...".
