Please Help..pc Making Weird Noises
I Don't Know Too Much About Computers...we Had A Couple Tornados And Bad Storms About A Week Ago....i Turned Off My Computer During It...we Didn't Have Power For A Few Days...i Turned It Back On Everything Seemed To Be Fine...but After A Day Or Two I Realized It Was Making A Funny Noise...i Didn't Know If Something Could Have Happened During The Storm??...everytime I Click On A Program...or Click To A New Page On The Browser The Computer Makes An Odd Noise...only Way I Can Describe The Noise Is Like Rain On A Window...it Last For No Longer Than A Minute...but It Constantly Does It When Anything Is Starting To Run
Does Anyone Know What It Could Be??..i Haven't Had My Computer Not Even A Year Yet

Hiya DYME, welcome to the forum
I'm pretty much sure this is just 'chatter' coming from your Hard Drive. Most Hard Drives make the same noise when accessing data. It is only the volume of the chatter that differs.
By coincidence i had to take my laptop to work for the last two days and my Hard Drive is making a louder chatter now. I believe it will quieten down over time

awww ty
why would it start making that sound all of a sudden though?...so I really don't have nothing to worry about?...I thought maybe i was going to have to buy a new hard drive?...just didn't want to jump into anything until i was sure about it

I don't know why it would happen after being stood for just a few days but mine has started doing it just from being carried around in a bag for a couple of days :?
If it doesn't calm down or if the chattering gets any worse i would consider a new HD. It's worth backing up all your data just to be on the safe side though

another question....my speakers randomly make a zapping lazer type sound...and kind of buzz at times....i unhooked them and tried them out on an mp3 player because i thought it was just my speakers going bad...but it was fine on the mp3 player..no sounds at all.....anyone know what thats caused from or how to fix it?
