I have been getting alot of DPC's lately and my sound skips and lags Does any one think this could be connected. either way does any one know how to get rid of DPC's and or fix the sound on my computer?
my computer is a dell dimension 8400
1 gig of ram
3gig p4 processor
256 mb nvidia 6800 geforce video card
with windows xp

A quick google shows that this is a somewhat common with Dells.

http://www.sysinternals.com/Forum/fo...p?TID=837&PN=1 Gives some suggestions. One person replaced their GeForce with an ATI and that seemed to fix the problem.
