i just recovered from a serious computer malfunction(happened when i was on a community website), and it kept restarting my computerr... so eventually i didnt know what to do it even kept restarting on safe mode, so i disabled networking on it n finally did the trick... now i wanted to go back on net but if i did so it would keep on restarting so i went on to the last good configuration i had.... noww i deleted all the ad ware n spy ware, and now when i want to turn on the firewall this message keeps poping up "An error occurred while internet connection sharing was being enabled. The specified service does not exist as an installed service." Now how do i get this service back or fix it ?? help would be really appreciated =]

I would suggest uninstall and reinstall the firewall, which has probably suffered damage.

ALSO....please, just to be safe, run an online virus scan, even if your own AV says all is well.

You may have your favorites, but I think the Trend is one that really finds "any thing".......

How do i reinstall my firewall ?

K, i happen to have trend micro on my computer and i took off all the ad ware spy ware it found... and still my firewall cannot be turned on... and yet my svchost has been hogging up like 90 to 100% of my CPU usagee its really bugging me lol ahhhhh!

neways how do i look into my event viewer ?

What Firewall are you using Qrazi3BoO? If it is the Windows Firewall just disable it and download a free alternative like Sygate Personal Firewall.
If you are using a different Firewall, go to start>my computer>add/remove programs and remove the Firewall from there. Reboot your PC and re-install your Firewall again.

While we're at it we might as well make sure there are no viruses etc causing the crashing or connection problems. Go to the Hijack This forum and follow the instructions. Start a new thread in the Hijack This forum and post a log
