    Hi,

Take a read of this Microsoft information to point you in the right direction:

Supports dual channel DDR 266/333/400, using four 184-pin DDR DIMMs .
    • Supports a maximum memory size up to 4GB without ECC.
    • Supports 2.5v DDR SDRAM DIMM.

    DIMM Module Combination
Install at least one DIMM module on the slots. Each DIMM slot supports up to a maximum size of 1GB. Users can install either single- or double-sided modules to meet their own needs. Please note that each DIMM can work respectively for singlechannel DDR, but there are some rules while using dual-channel DDR (Please refer to the suggested DDR population table below). Users may install memory modules of different type and density on different-channel DDR DIMMs. However, the same type and density memory modules are necessary while using dual-channel DDR, or instability may happen. Please refer to the following table for detailed dual-channel DDR. Other combination not listed below will function as single-channel DDR.

    MSI Reminds You...
    • Dual-channel DDR works ONLY in the 3 combinations listed in the table shown in the previous page.
    • Please select the identical memory modules to install on the dual channel, and DO NOT install three memory modules on three DIMMs, or it may cause some failure.
    • Always insert the memory modules into the GREEN slots first, and it is strongly recommended not to insert the memory modules into the PURPLE slots while the GREEN slots are left empty.
    • This mainboard DO NOT support the memory module installed with more than 18 pieces of IC (integrated circuit).

This is also after a recent reformat. I was thinking of reinstalling on an old hard drive temporarily as maybe this one is corrupt but I cant get in to the bios. Pressing delete on boot up presents a black screen with flashing cursor.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Until you get it going, I would recommend that you use only one stick of memory for now. Check your manual to see which slot to use, because that is pretty easy to understand.

For the other issue of not being able to get into your BIOS setup menu, try clearing your CMOS. (clear RTC Ram or CLRTC) Check your manual for this direction. It is a pretty easy operation.

    Hi,

I have now reformatted and reinstalled a seagate barracuda SATA drive did have a maxtor ( with the the IDE cables, I apologise for my lack of genius 8)

I can almost feel thjis problem waiting to happen again, computer runs v slow, ive also replaced the memory to branded.

I playa a game called EVE and never before has this happened but whilst having the appliaction in windowed mode the graphics slow/stick/get gerky if i hover the mouse over the task bar, i also get this message on start up:

    cli.exe application

" The application failed to initialize properly (oxcoooo135)."

I think it's maybe motherboard or graphics card

MSI K8N neo platiunum + radeon 9800 atlantis sapphire pro
has been working fine for about 10 months

As these are both AGP and if I am going t oreplace the graphics card/ mobo Imay as well go PCI and replace both, I don't thikn I am going to fix this problem.

Does anyone have suggestions on the most recommended mobo to get budget under £100 and graphics card budget under £150.

Once again thanks for the relpies so far, appreciate the time taken to answer.

Cheers and seasons greetiings to everyone

I don't think it is your motherboard at this point. The error you got "Hi,cli.exe application. The application failed to initialize properly (oxcoooo135)." is a video card issue. Probably not with a bad video card, but with the Catalyst control center or drivers. If it were mine, I would uninstall the video card, the control center and all drivers in that area and try to reinstall them. I actually recommend the Omega drivers for your card over the Catalyst drivers, so that is what I would do:

    http://www.omegadrivers.net/

    Use this process to uninstall:

What is the full uninstall procedure I must follow if I want to remove the XX drivers from my system?

This will work for either Catalyst or Omega drivers, so it is a generic instruction.

Before you start this full uninstall procedure, make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Driver Cleaner; if you are using my drivers then a special version of Driver Cleaner is already included.

    1. Go to the Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs section.
    2. Uninstall the ATI Control Panel or Catalyst Control Center, don’t restart.
    3. If uninstalling the Omega Drivers, uninstall Radlinker (if using an old driver set).
    4. Uninstall the existing driver set, restart.
    5. Boot your PC in safe mode.
    6. Run Driver Cleaner, restart afterwards.
    7. If uninstalling the Omega Drivers, now uninstall the Setup Tools from the Start Menu.
    8. Now you can install any driver you like.
