When ever I boot my computer up, I have to relaunch the explorer.exe service for XP to load? Anyone know how to fix this?

did you try start->run->sfc /scannow?

No I diden't, but I did a system restore, and that fixed it.

What does this do?

It checks and makes sure all protected Windows files are intact and in their orginal versions.
