    Post Question about Paging File

I have upgraded my RAM, and have a fixed paging file. When I made my page file a fixed size, I used the RAM as a reference for how large my page file should be. Now I have done another upgrade, should I leave the page file alone [it's almost 2GB's min and max], or should I make it larger? For me, I like the fixed page file.

Also, should my slave drives have page files of their own? Confused? I am!

you can leave it alone for now, the amount of ram you have should diminish the need for a larger one. if your other drives just store data, you dont need a seperate page file for them, though you CAN create one if the need arises.

Thank you Mr Jazzman, and how would I know if the need arises? You know how I like to know everything???? If I put CS2 on one of the partitions, should I put a page file with it? I don't like Photoshop on my main drive.

Thank you for the quick answer....

you would know if you see significant decreases in performance when running the app, try going without creating a page drive for the drive with Photoshop on it first, if it hangs or is slow, then go ahead and create on for that drive. :P
