Now is this normal? Refer to picture

I know I already asked Jazzman about why the Internet Gateway is connected, but my b/f is really worried about both of these connecting. I've done a scan with Panda Online virus scan, found 20 viruses/spyware, went thru and deleted and removed alot of stuff and currently doing another scan now. It says I still have "myway" in the windows registry, I can't seem to find it. I'll post back soon with any new findings :-D

Click on it, it's a thumbnail to a larger pic!

those 2 little computer icons in the system tray are your network connections, please right click My network places, choose properties take a screenshot of the network connections and post..if you dont want the icoons in the system tray then right click each connection->properties->uncheck show icon in system tray when connected, not sure right now what that internet gateway is but we'll find out ..i'm at work so expect a delay in my replies

Anyway no problem about the delay, just glad you are helping out! Gotta leave in about 1/2 hour so not sure if we will get this fixed today or not.

I believe Jazzman means when you right click properties, then take a screenshot.

right click the 1394 connection and choose disable if you arent using it for anything...also, find out from your dsl if that Sympatico " connectiomn is needed...USUALLY, a dsl company doesn't add another connection, and that's why i'm curious as to why you show that sympatico connection,,,,the LAN connection should be sufficient for use with DSL connections....
