I bet your wondering what GoC is doing asking for help, well never in my life have a come accross this problem.

So, I startup my computer with the Win XP cd in it enters setup, gets to finished loading files, then my comp just shuts off..... Every once an a while i can get past that, but not usally... I have also tried with my Win 98SE CD and bootdisk.. same thing..

Someone help please!!

I will be able to read these replys tonight, i just setup my other laptop w/ wireless net

Update: Turns out it was my powercord, the connecting inside the transformer was shorting out, I re sotered it back together

I have heard of this problem loads of times but never found a solution. I'll remember your fix GoC :thumbs:
