    New User Account

I just created a new user account. Do I need to re-activate programs like SpywareBlaster, MS AntiSpyware etc... in order to be protected on this account?

Also, my burning software CDBurnerXPPro keeps trying to install itself and I don't want it to install on this account. The install comes up, it fails because it cannot find the right path, then I have to End Task. It keeps trying to install over and over.

You shouldn't. Is this new user an admin or a normal user? Remember when you install certain programs, it asks you "Do you wish to install for me, or all users on computer". Which option did you choose?

It's a new user Limited Account. Geeze, I honestly can't remember how I initially installed the software. I must have said all accounts, since it is trying to install itself. I should then, reinstall CDBurnerXPPro and select just to install on my main account. Right?

Well, not all software have that option, I can't remember what type of installer that has it. But just let it finishing installing on your limited account, and that might do it. I personally was always admin and never really had much play with limited, not enough power for me

Thanks, Tyler! It's OK now. I think it was just a coincidence that the burning program messed up while I was trying to create a new user acct. I just uninstalled the program until the next time I want to use it.

That was it exactly. I just re-installed the burning software and it did give me the option to install for "all users" or just myself. This time I just chose myself, so if I want to create a limited user account, it should not interfere next time.
