    browser conflict?

I have xp, and whilst on line, the browser(microsoft explorer, and Mozilla firefox) switches off when I try to go on some sites such as stickcricket.com------------ why is that ? As soon as the site starts to load up the browser switches off completely is it something to do with xp or something on that site that brings down the program? help!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, I have never heard of this happening before. Do both browsers shut down when you go to certain sites?. I would do full antivirus/trojan and spyware scans just to rule them out. Use Ad-aware, Spybot search and destroy and the windows trojan scan. All found in This post.
If it is only Firefox that closes, i would try re-installing it.
Keep us informed of your progress. If this does not work we'll try other things .

    Thank you Vidster,
tried the anti/virus scan etc. but didn't make much of a difference to the original problem, though it did clean one or two older programs. simply switches the browser off without giving any indication of conflict or error message of any kind. maybe flash, activeX, or runtime, have something to do with it, is that a possability?

Do you have any error messages in your Event viewer?.

Start,Control panel, Administrative tools, Event Viewer. Look at the system menu.

Is there anything related to Explorer or Firefox?
