I have installed sp2, windows update says updates needed for audio and ethernet. Now I know where to get my drivers from manufactors web site, but don,t know how to unistall old drivers and install new. I know to go to device manager to get to the drivers but that's it. Don't know what to do next. Could you explain simply please.

Once you are in the Device Manager, go down to the device/driver you want. Right click on it and a small menu will pop up. The first choice is to update your drivers. Select this and it will start a wizard that will guide you through the installation process. There is no need to uninstall your old drivers, you may need to revert back to them at a later date if you encounter any problems ;-).

Thank you very much but at C-Media they said I had to unitall the old drivers that's mainly what threw me. I'll follow your advice. Thanks once again.

If you want to use an older driver just follow the above instructions until you see the pop up menu. Then select properties and then select roll back drivers. This should install your old drivers ;-).

to unistall the old drivers:
go to device manager/ navigate to the device/ right click on the device/ select properties/ click on the "Driver" tab/ select uninstall/ select ok in the confirm device removal.
